BRMC Opens $13 Million Renovated ER

JMH Holds Emergency Blood Drive Friday At Barter Stage II
Blood donations are in the red at Johnston Memorial Hospital’s Blood Bank. The Abingdon-based medical facility is holding and emergency blood drive 11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday at the Barter Theater Stage II on Main Street. The blood bank is running dangerously low on critical blood types O+, O- and A-. JMH officials say the upcoming holiday week has sparked a critical need for blood donations.

Children’s Miracle Network Celebrates 25 Years Of Hospital Support
News Channel 11 helped the Children’s Miracle Network and local partner Wellmont Health System celebrate 25 years of support for hospitals and children’s health during a live telethon broadcast on WJHL-TV Saturday night. 11,000 people here in the Tri-Cities have donated over $7 million to Children’s Miracle Network since 1987. “That money really makes a difference every day in the lives of local kids,” said Brenna Gillispie, Children’s Miracle Network Director for the Wellmont Foundation.
